Privacy policy

This policy covers every iPhone app published by Accept All Cookies BV (“we”, “us”) and this website.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data, as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is:

Data in our apps

Our apps store everything you enter, such as your entries, logs and settings, only on your device. They don’t send it to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it.

• No account. You don’t sign up, and we don’t ask for your name, email address or phone number.
• No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking. Our apps contain no analytics, advertising or tracking software from other companies, and they don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
• Nothing is sent to us. We don’t run servers that collect data from our apps.

Some of our apps let you record things about your health, habits or wellbeing. That information can be sensitive, which is one more reason it stays on your device.

Backups

If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, iOS may include app data in that backup. Those backups are stored by Apple or on your own computer, under your control. We have no access to them.

Deleting your data

Because your data exists only on your device, you control it. Delete it with the in-app delete option where an app has one, or delete the app, which removes its data from your device. Copies in your backups disappear when those backups are replaced or deleted. We can’t delete or recover this data for you, because we don’t have it.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your payment details, such as your card number.

To unlock what you paid for, an app asks Apple, through the App Store’s purchase system, which purchases belong to your Apple Account. That exchange happens between your device and Apple.

Apple gives us sales and subscription reports, for example which product was bought, in which country and when. These reports don’t include your name, email address or payment details.

Statistics Apple shares with developers

If you’ve chosen in your iPhone settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregated statistics, such as the number of installs. This comes from Apple, not from code in our apps, and doesn’t tell us who you are. We use it only to fix bugs and to understand how our apps are doing. You can turn it off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use this only to answer you and to handle your request, based on our legitimate interest in helping the people who use our apps (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep these emails only as long as we need them to help you and deal with any follow-up, and then delete them. Our email provider stores them on our behalf.

This website

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from other websites: no fonts, scripts or embedded content.

It runs on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, which processes data for us under a data processing agreement. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, our server logs technical data about each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the response and your browser type. We use these logs only to keep the site working and secure, not to identify or follow visitors, and we delete them automatically after 14 days. Copies can remain in the server’s daily backups for up to 7 more days, until those backups are overwritten. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Sharing and transfers

We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we don’t share it for advertising. The only companies that handle personal data for us are our web host, Hetzner, which stores it in the European Union, and our email provider, each only to provide their service. Our email provider may process data outside the European Economic Area; when it does, it relies on safeguards the GDPR allows, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We will also disclose data if the law requires us to.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it’s wrong;
• have it erased;
• restrict how we use it, or object to it;
• receive it in a commonly used, machine-readable format (data portability).

In practice we hold very little about you: usually only the emails you’ve sent us. The data in our apps is on your device, so you can view and delete it yourself.

To use any of these rights, email hello@acceptallcookies.be. We’ll respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

If you think we’re mishandling your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority:

If you live or work in another EU country, you can also complain to the data protection authority there.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children. Some of our apps are rated 18+ on the App Store and are meant for adults only. Our apps don’t collect personal data from anyone, children included. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, for example by email, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security

Data in our apps is protected by the security features of iOS, such as your device passcode and the encryption built into iOS. Keeping a passcode on your device and your software up to date helps keep it safe.

App-specific details

None of our apps currently handles data in any way beyond what this policy describes. If one does in the future, it will get its own section here.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when our apps or this website change the way they handle data, and we’ll change the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we’ll say so clearly on this page and, where possible, in the app concerned.
